Department Description :

The department of Mechanical Engineering provides training in welding techniques and application, machining and fittings and in sheet Metal Works. Learners are involved in all phases of the design, development, production, testing, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, tools and industrial machinery. The programmes are designed to equip learners with the knowledge, practical skills and the maturity required in employment.



Programmes on offer:

1.National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering-3 years(6 semesters)-Full Time /4 years(8 semesters) Part Time (360-480 Credits)

2.Advanced Certificate in Mechanical Engineering-2 years (4 semesters) Full Time/ 3years(6 semesters) Part Time (240-320 Credits)


Progression

Best performers on the Advanced Certificate Programme, with academic potentials and receiving full support from Head of Programme, may apply to follow the next higher level which is the Diploma. Graduates completing National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering can be accepted to Advanced Diploma and Degree programs both locally and internationally.
